Interests / expertise / research in CHD

Kindre Morgan has a keen interest in cardiology and CHD.  She is also interested in expanding the services and support offered to women in the process of planning a family, women who are pregnant and new mothers with Congenital Heart Disease. 

Current role and experience

Kindre Morgan qualified as a nurse in 1992 and spent a year in neurosurgery and 4 years in medicine before working on the Coronary Care Unit in 1997. Since then Kindre has worked in cardiology at the University Hospital of Wales Cardiff, the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant, and as a Health Visitor in the Welsh Valleys.  Following this, Kindre worked on CCU and Pacing Theatre at University Hospital of Wales. 

Kindre joined the ACHD Clinical Nurse Specialist team in November 2020. 

Interests outside of work

Outside of work, Kindre enjoys reading - Terry Pratchett is one of her favourite authors - as well as walking, particularly along the Welsh Coastal Path as she loves looking out to the sea.
